The completion of the seismic fulfilled ERHC and its partner Cepsa’s obligations under the first phase of the exploration program and will form the basis for the continuation of exploration under the second phase. Bell Geospace acquired almost 15,000 kilometres of FTG data which will be used to underpin a 1000 kilometre-plus 2D seismic survey that is set to start this quarter. Block 11A is said by ERHC to hold an extension of the Lotikipi rift basin. The company is awaiting approval from Kenya’s government to farm out a stake in the acreage to an integrated oil and gas company.
