Peter C. Ntephe, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Peter Ntephe was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ERHC Energy in April 2010. He had been the Chief Operating Officer and acting Chief Executive Officer since 2008. Mr. Ntephe has been involved in fundamental aspects of the Company's executive management since 2001, having joined initially as Corporate Secretary. His roles have included key participation in the negotiation, securing and maintenance of the Company's oil and gas interests in the Gulf of Guinea. As Chief Executive Officer, he oversees the executive management of ERHC Energy and its subsidiaries. He is responsible for ensuring that the group's strategic objectives are met. Leslie Blair, Director Mr. Leslie Blair has more than 35 years of upstream oil and gas industry experience principally in Asia and West Africa. From 1998 he was with the Addax Petroleum Corporation where he held several senior management positions including Managing Director, Middle East (based in Dubai), General Manager, Taq Taq Operating Company (based in Kurdistan, Iraq), and Executive Director Business Development (based in Nigeria). Mr. Blair played a big part in building Addax Petroleum into the largest independent oil company in Nigeria with production rising from 8,000 bopd to over 120,000 bopd in ten years. ERHC has a 100 percent working interest in Blocks 4 and 11 of the São Tome and Príncipe Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) free of signature bonuses. The close proximity of São Tome and Príncipe's offshore waters to the proven hydrocarbon systems in the adjacent territorial waters of Gabon, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria suggests the potential for hydrocarbons, which is further supported by seismic data and petroleum seeps seen on the island of São Tome. Seismic data for EEZ Blocks 4 and 11 contain highly prospective structures. ERHC believes the EEZ has all the necessary components of a successful petroleum system. ERHC has interests in six of the nine Blocks in the Joint Development Zone (JDZ), a 34,548 sq km area approximately 200 km off the coastline of Nigeria and São Tome & Principe that is adjacent to several large petroleum discovery areas. Plans for Exploratory Drilling ERHC Energy works closely with its technical partners Addax Petroleum and Sinopec Corp. on matters related to exploratory drilling. In 2009, Addax Petroleum and Sinopec commenced a comprehensive exploratory drilling campaign ecompassing five wells stretching across three Blocks of the Joint Development Zone. Analysis of the geologic data gathered during the campaign is continuing and will guide future decisions regarding further exploration in the area. Rights in the Joint Development Zone The JDZ was established during the spring of 2001 to govern the disputed boundary area between Sao Tome and Principe and Nigeria for commercial exploitation. The JDZ is administered by a Joint Development Authority (JDA) which oversees all future exploration and development activities in the JDZ. Addax has authorized ERHC Energy to feature some of the JDZ-related images to better inform the investor community. The implementation of a community outreach program in our host communities is important to ERHC Energy. It helps to showcase our commitment to contributing positively to the quality of life in the communities in which we operate. ERHC Energy's first initiative was a visit by ERHC Corporate Secretary Peter Ntephe (since promoted to Chief Operating Officer) and the Company’s special counsel in Nigeria, Steve Ahaneku, to the Jabi Orphanage Home, in Abuja, Nigeria. ERHC made a small contribution during the visit to help support the orphanage, which takes in abandoned children. It currently is home to 35 youngsters ranging in age from a few weeks to five years old.
